Mardi Gras exhibit in Arnaudville | Opelousas Daily World

Mardi Gras revelers are depicted in this painting by artist Herb Roe. In the foreground, courir riders in their regalia are shown, while children in costume chase a chicken (a Mardi Gras tradition)

The Mardi Gras season is upon us and NUNU's Art and Culture Collective in Arnaudville is celebrating with an exhibit of paintings and prints by artist Herb Roe.

While the exhibit will be up through Feb. 28, a reception honoring Roe will be held Saturday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the NUNU's gallery at 1510 Courtableau Road.
