Explosive ‘NCIS: New Orleans’ shoot to disrupt West Bank traffic on Monday

Shooting takes place on the set of “NCIS: New Orleans.”

West Bank motorists might want to avoid Segnette Boulevard in Westwego on Monday (April 1). The CBS series "NCIS: New Orleans" will be filming a scene involving a special effects explosion in the Alario Center then, requiring intermittent traffic control on Segnette for much of the day, according to the Jefferson Parish film office.

Production is scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday. Traffic on Segnette Boulevard between Lapalco Boulevard and the Westbank Expressway will be held for up to five minutes at a time as a result.

Members of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office will be on hand to assist with traffic control, and members of the parish Fire Department will monitor filming.
