Coastal Flood Advisory [ Local Stories]

An enhanced risk severe storms is posted for our area Saturday. The risk level may be raised. The concern time period is 7 AM-2 PM for a squall line moving from the west to the east across the area. There is the potential for high winds in the squall line and isolated tornadoes. Rainfall amounts look to be about one inch or a little more.

High west winds may cause problems If traveling in a North/South direction on an elevated roadway Saturday morning. High profile vehicles will likely have issues. You may want to reconsider your travel plans to avoid that situation. If you live in a mobile home, you may want to go to a sturdy building during that time period.

The weather improves going into the afternoon. If you have morning outdoor plans, why not move them to the afternoon? The weather Sunday cooperates. Warm front moves north late Sunday and Monday with rain chances increasing.
