Severe weather risk [ Local Stories]

A cold front approaches Wednesday with scattered rain and storms and a low end risk for severe storms for the North portion of the Northshore mainly in the afternoon. The main concern is damaging winds in storms. That front will get into the area Thanksgiving Day, and then stall. One model has it stalling South of us. If that were to happen, it would be a little cooler. I see it getting South of Metro, then moving back North quickly as a warm front. Temperatures look to be in the 70s with showers around. Another area of low pressure develops to our West Friday with rain chances increasing again. Looks like areas North of our viewing area will have locally heavy rain. That rain will drop into our area. Expect off and on rain into Sunday until a very strong cold front moves through our area. There will be the potential for some strong possibly severe storms. Much colder weather moves into the area Monday and Tuesday. There will be the potential for the first freeze of the Season in parts of our viewing area Tuesday morning.
