Abita launches S.O.S. pilsner to aid Gulf Coast | NOLA.com

The beer is an unfiltered weizen pils with a high, 7% alcohol content.
In July, Abita will ship 120,000 bottles of its new pilsner across the country emblazoned with an urgent message: S.O.S., or Save Our Coast. For each 22-ounce bottle of S.O.S. sold, the north coast brewery will donate $0.75 to restore the Gulf Coast and support the men and women affected by the BP oil disaster.

Dozens of colleges are up in arms over a new Anheuser-Busch marketing campaign that features Bud Light beer cans emblazoned with local schools' team colors.
