Foburg, a brand new 3-day alternative music festival held in 8 or more venues on and around Frenchmen Street on March 12-14, 2010. Foburg will feature rock, indie rock, and alternative artists from the greater Gulf South and national touring artists on their way to SXSW in Austin, TX, which is the following week.

Added on Sunday, April 25: Juan Luis Guerra y 440, a Dominican singer who has sold over 20 million records and won nine Latin Grammy Awards, two Grammy Awards, and two Latin Billboard Music Awards.

Moved to Saturday, May 1: Band of Horses will not appear during the first weekend of the Festival as previously listed.

Scratched: Gil Scott-Heron, previously announced for the Festival, will not appear this year.

Southern Republican Leadership Conference coincides with French Quarter Fest in 2010

As the largest GOP gathering prior to the 2012 Republican National Convention, you can expect to see the top Republican leaders in the country. Among the invited speakers for 2010 are Sean Hannity, Mike Huckabee, Bobby Jindal, Sarah Palin and Chuck Norris.

The SRLC in 2010 will be sharing the weekend of April 8 - 11, 2010 with the French Quarter Festival which should add some side show politics for festival goers and lagniappe music and food for the conventioneers.
