Louisiana SPCA - Unleash your heart | la-spca.org

It wasn’t until Hurricane Katrina hit that the dedication of the Louisiana SPCA staff and volunteers was truly tested. Faced with personal loss, set aside due to the urgent needs of the areas’ animals, a shelter was established at Lamar-Dixon, in Gonzales, Louisiana, and a plan of action was initiated.

There are many ways you can support the LA/SPCA. By being an ambassador for the animals, you could help stop one unwanted litter from being born or improve the quality of life for neighborhood pets. Consider becoming a volunteer, either at the shelter or off-site. We need people to donate items, donate monetarily, and host benefits. Through planned giving, you can continue helping us rescue and protect homeless, unwanted and abused animals long into the future.  We are thankful for help of every kind.
